April Wilson is a distinguished and quality-focused executive leader with an impressive 17 years in hospice care and 23 years as a registered nurse. April holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in healthcare administration, underscoring her commitment to professional excellence. April exemplified her exceptional leadership by overseeing multi-site, multi-state teams across the Western United States and continues to demonstrate this leadership. In addition to her leadership roles, April is a respected committee member and speaker at the MD Anderson Supportive & Palliative Care Clinic and Research Symposium, where she shares her insights and expertise with fellow professionals.

Throughout her career, April has had the profound privilege of serving countless patients and families, providing compassionate care during their most vulnerable moments. She is deeply passionate about the unique and transformative services that hospice offers. April is dedicated to changing the cultural perception of hospice care from a source of fear to one of empowerment. She believes this transformation can be achieved through early education and collaborative care planning, ensuring that patients and their loved ones are supported throughout their journey.
