Dr. Ashan Riaz

Medical Director

Dr Ahsan Riaz was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey and is a graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He obtained his medical degree from Saint George’s University in Grenada. He completed residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, an affiliate of Cornell University. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice Medical Director Certified.

Upon completion of residency, Dr Riaz started working as a hospitalist in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. For the last 12 years he has been practicing in Dallas, Texas. He has 14+ years of experience as an Internist, primarily catering to the Geriatric population at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. His experiences in the acute care setting lead him to the post-acute care world in hopes of bridging the gap and also potentially preventing medical problems from progressing to requiring inpatient care. He utilizes his knowledge and experience in providing care to patients in primary care, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, memory care, hospice care, and long-term acute care.

Dr Riaz is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Medical Association. In his leisure time, Dr Riaz spends time with his wife, step kids, fur babies and is an avid sports fan, reader, and traveler.
